Ordering guide suggests it can still be ordered with the 6.2 in the SLT.

If GM stays on its usual track you will be able to order a 2015 1500 very soon or by April at the latest. You can order a 2015 2500 or 3500 now.

 

If you do go to another brand at least let us know what you get and post some pics and your initial impressions.

A willing dealer should be able to find a truck on the lot somewhere that fits the bill just a matter of getting it to you.... My dealer has gone clear across the country for some customers

FYI: I placed an order on May 17 and it was accepted by GM. My dealer said that the order cut off would be around June. I don't get why March is considered so late. Interesting.

my dad placed an order at the end of April for an LTZ 5.3 NHT, same as mine but in Rudy Red, and it was accepted and built. its on the train as we speak...so I'm thinking they are still building the NHT's. either that or we won't be taking delivery of the truck

I ordered a GMC SLT 6.2 NHT May 7th. My order was accepted and I was told yesterday it starts production June 2nd
