I spent all winter deciding what i wanted I researched, test drove and read all i could.

Went to the dealer today and found out NHT package is no longer available for this model

year and the the trailer break controller is also on constraint so none of those. Doesnt pay

for me to order a truck. So I have to settle for what is available and it is not much with 3.73's and

the 5.3 engine. Nice job GM I am going to the Ford dealer. What a joke! Sorry to rant I

am not happy.

The 2014 order bank is only open for maybe another month, if that? They start shutting various models/options down to re-tool for the upcoming MY

If you waited this long why not wait until ordering begins for the 2015's which shouldnt be to long. July the new MY should be hitting lots.

Go to Chevy and/or GMC websites and click on the Chat icon on the right edge.

Tell them to locate trucks within 300 miles of your location. Give them all the details/options you want and ask for a list of any matches.

If they have what you want, you can either drive to go get it or have a dealer near you trade for it.

Good luck ordering a Ford right now! Their plants are starting the transitions to the 2015's as well, so they'll likely have the same or worse problems. I guess you're looking at a Ram or Tundra then? Maybe a Titan? All because you've waited all winter and now can't wait another month?

Another option is to buy the truck with 3.42's. You can always swap to 3.73 gears later.

NHT = Max Tow

so NHT is a vin code?

RPO code. Just like Z71, ZO6, etc.

I bet they are just trying to limit this package to only the 6.2L since the there has been a few constraints with components. So there is your other option. Here is what I found...

MAX TRAILERING PACKAGE includes 9.76" rear axle, (GT4) 3.73 rear axle ratio, (JL1) trailer brake controller, enhanced cooling radiator, revised shock tuning for increased control, heavier duty rear springs and increased RGAWR (No longer available for the Model Year with (L83) 5.3L engine, requires (RBX/RBW) 18" tires or may upgrade to (NZM) 20" chrome wheels or (RD3) 20" ultra bright machined aluminum wheels with either (RC7) or (QSS) 20" tires. With (L86) 6.2L engine, requires (NZM) 20" chrome wheels or (RD3) 20" ultra bright machined aluminum wheels with (QSS) 20" tires. Not available with (Z71) Off-Road Suspension Package.) (NHT)

No they wont let you order a 6.2 with the NHT either

I dont have to order a Ford they have trucks available now.

There will be no dodge or toyota for me then I will keep what I have.

I have done the chat on Chevy and had them surch there are a few

trucks close to want but dealers dont want to trade them

because they know there are no more coming.
