Service air bag Code B0092

Hello Gents, just curious if anyone can help me diagnose my "service airbag" light that came up on my dash. '05 Silverado Z71, extended cab, 184k miles, 5.3HO. It recently came out the body with this new code, replaced bumper, and body work on the passenger side. I noticed it prior to leaving the shop and they said they a dealer had to diagnose it, and if the dealer determined it was from the repairs the repair shop would cover it. I first noticed it after adjusting the passenger seat, I had the rep look at it and he scanned it. He couldn't determine what the cause was and adjusted the seat a few times and got it to "disappear". He brought it out and showed me the TSB on it and what code was coming up. I ran it straight to a dealership and they wanted to keep it overnight and run diog on it in the morning, but didn't have other arrangements to get home.

I don't care who does as long as I know it'll be there when I need it, but if the repair shops lifetime warranty will cover it then that would be a great help. Any help in what direction I need to take it would help.

Update on code, dealership said it wasn't from the body work or the accident since there was no deployment code in the system. They did say the PPS was shorting out, or passenger presence sensor. Do you know if there was a recall on this.

Thanks for all the help.

did ya ask the dealer to run your vin to see if the free fix is in your future ? lol

not every code causes a campaign (not called a recall)
