Suspension or Underbody rattle

I've been slowly developing a rattle in what sounds to be the driver side front suspension. I've had it to the dealer and they said they checked all of the front suspension and found nothing to be loose. Does anyone know or heard of something that could possibly cause a suspension sound but not be the suspension? I'm not sure where to go or what to do. I'm almost 90% related that its in the suspension and its driving me nuts.

I also forgot to mention, I can slightly feel the rattle in the wheel and also in the pedal, so its got me pretty confused.

This is along shot but I have seen it before, loose caliper... either loose bolts or damaged bushings. A good sign of a loose caliper is that it will general not rattle when the brakes are applied or if it does rattle the tone of the rattle will change under braking. The only reason I am leaning towards caliper is because I was thinking you had lowered your truck and the caliper would be one of the items removed in that process.

I'll have to check that out, the front suspension hasn't been broken apart since ive only leveled the rear as of right now and the truck only has 4k miles. I've been able to replicate the sound each time, and it seems to clunk when the suspension is traveling up and down or on a reallllly bumpy road.

Ok, for some reason I was thinking that you had lowered front/rear. I would say that the chances of the caliper being loose are even slimmer then, but still definitely worth checking out. If all other suspension components have been checked like ball joints, tie rod ends, upper lower shock mounting and any related shock tower bolts/ brackets, then I would start by trying to pin point the problem a little closer with the help of a drive down a country road with family/friends at all 4 windows to help isolate/confirm the approximate rattle source location.

There is always the "drop it off at dealer and say give it to me rattle free" option since we paid so handsomely for a truck with 5/100k warranty.

Good luck with your rattle hunt, they can sure be nerve racking, especially when you have to write that monthly payment check for a truck that hasn't even seen its first bday yet.

Keep us posted,

Not sure if this relative to your situation, but I had a rattle driving me crazy. It was hard to pinpoint, I had the exhaust flapper thingamajig cut out and low and behold the rattle went with it.

have you had any work done? new wheels, alignmet.

Yes, the truck went to the dealer for unusual front tire wear and they performed an alignment. When I came back 2 weeks later for the rattle and suspension sound they told me they checked over everything including the areas that are used to perform the alignment. I found a road that I can replicate the sound almost every time, i'm going to see if the service manager will ride with me like he did the first time so this time they can at least hear it.

I had the truck to the dealer, turns out it was a bad driver front strut causing the popping noise. Dealer replaced the strut and its like new again. My buddy has the same exact truck and has the sound in the front and rear, so this may be something people start running into once they get some miles on these new trucks.
