2014 GMC Sierra Vibration @ Highway Speeds

Hello there!

This will be my first post here and I am sorry to say it comes with an issue with my truck (one of the many issues but the most annoying). I bought the truck back in January when my Dodge Challenger was starting to have many issues that were becoming to expensive to fix. I loved the truck ever since I saw it and placed my rear on the driver seat. I got the truck pretty much fully loaded (minus the leather, complete nav screen, sunroof and a few other things).

For the first few months the truck has been riding completely smoothly whether that be city roads, gravel roads or highways. But now I am starting to realize that once I get past 80km, vibrations throughout the truck (mostly gas pedal, my seat, steering wheel and the middle console). As I climb higher in the speed it just gets worst, to the point where it is very uncomfortable to even be in the vehicle.

I took it to the dealership and the service rep/manager explained to me that this is a very normal vibration and I shouldn't be worried. Well I'm not sure about you, but what normal vibration starts a few months after driving the vehicle? Not only that but any vehicle that I have driven (Brand new or old) have not vibrated..

Has anyone else here that owns this type of vehicle also experience these vibrations? Have you gotten them fixed? or have you been swept under the rug like I have?

6500km

2014 GMC Sierra 1500 SLE model (don't quote me on that but I am pretty sure it is)

22" rims on it right now (was happening with the 18")

But before you do, check your tire pressure with a separate tire gauge. Most likely this is the same issue I had.

The truck rode fine in January when the tire pressure was correct but as the weather warmed up, the pressure increased which causes the ride quality to deteriorate. My tire pressure monitoring system was off bad. It read 35psi but my tires were actually at 40 all around. I used my own tire gauge and took them down to 35 and my ride went back to normal.

I'm pretty sure it's a tire pressure issue. If I'm wrong, then join the 90+ page discussion at the top of this forum!

I checked the tire pressure on my vehicle via the onscreen dash thingy mabober.. The pressure was at 245 KPA (exactly where I wanted it) and in reference to PSI its about 31-32 (I think I might be wrong).. So I popped out my handy dandy electronic and manual pressure gauge and they matched perfectly.

But yes tire pressure was the very first thing I looked at, unfortunately it wasn't the culprit :'( which made me cry a little inside.

We can assume the wheels and tires are properly balanced and matched to the truck? The lug nuts are tightened correctly? Yeah I know, simple stuff. Just had a relative have a wheel come off while driving, the same day Winter tires were removed. The shop failed to tighten the lug nuts.

I checked the tightness of the nuts and they checked out okay. Dont have equipment (or don't know how) to check if they're balanced or not but I would hope that they did it properly.
