Dropping in a new trans with it or nah? When I get my performabuilt trans rebuilt under warranty you can pick it up and buy it off of me. It will already be in PA lol

Haha! No trans at this time. I'll be changing the fluid and filter, but that's it. Putting in some Amsoil fluid. It still shifts pretty good though. Nice firm shifts.

You don't know what firm shifts are until you have this thing strapped in lol. I think I'm gonna need neck surgery after driving it for only 6 months haha

Well I couldn't wait any longer. Wheels and tires went on today. Don't mind the dirty truck. Once it gets warm I'll be washing it.

Looks good. How's the heart transplant going?

Thanks. Not much progress yet. I'm waiting on parts. Some will be here tomorrow, others Friday. I need to get a puller tomorrow from Sears to take the crankshaft pulley off. Then I can get the timing cover off to change the oil pump.

Other than that and the intake manifold everything else is off that needs to be for me to start installing new parts.

You're not going to clean the engine up before installing?

Yea, I'm going to clean it, and the engine bay.

Finally started to get things done. Tore off the crankshaft pulley, oil pan, timing cover, and replaced the oil pump. The engine itself looks pretty clean inside which makes me feel better.

Old ones were hazy, and the passenger side one had the bottom tab broken off that helps hold it still.
