I'm hoping so. Would be a nice improvement.

I didn't realize it was your fault.

No one decided yet. Most likely me. Other guy didn't have insurance

Never thought about that. Probably be me since I always brag to myself and immediate family about how good of a truck mine is in certain aspects.

Friday when I drove the truck to school it didn't start very well. I had a feeling the battery was about shot, and sure enough today the truck wouldn't start at all.

The battery says it was made in 2012 so it didn't last very long. Took it out and it's been leaking all over my new battery tray, damn junk. So it looks like I'll have to repaint it this spring. Ended up going with a Napa battery. 800 CCA and 985 CA for $113 with tax. Didn't get it in tonight, ran out of light.

Old junk

Batteries I replaced in our International at work were built in Nov 2012, I guess it's a little different because it is a diesel, a lot harder on them that a gas engine

Wow, maybe 4 years is the new norm for batteries.

Whatever the warranty on it is, if you make it a year past that be happy. My first Optima went 3 years and 3 days. My current one is over 4 years on a 3 year warranty

Figures. Glad I bought the one I did then instead of the more expensive one.

I've always just picked up parts store branded batteries (carquest, autozone, etc) and the ones in my gas trucks have lasted for 5+ years. Of course diesels are a different animal all together, but the last batteries lasted around 4 years as well so I figured that's what the norm is on those big trucks
