Rims rusting?

II've been driving this truck for about a year and been noticing these little spots popping up everywhere and don't know what to do.

Those rims are aluminium, so that's not rust. What you are seeing is the anodizing peeling off and allowing the bare aluminium to corrode. Not much you can do but watch it happen. Unless of course you were to strip and re anodize them.

Have them media blasted down, then powder coat them, OR purchase new rims.

It happened on my wife's 2005 equinox. I am not sure how long it will hold up but I stripped the clear off with napa stray on paint stripper. Then I used flitz aluminum pre-clean and then flitz polish. They almost look as good as new. I just polish them once a month to protect the bare aluminum.

What you should do if you got a some time is get some etching primer some plasti dip sand the rims just a lil don't have to go to town on them. Will cost about 20$ and if you want you can put a clear coat on will give an extra protection
