I am swapping my 2014 18" GMC polished aluminum wheels for the 2014 20" chrome Sierra Denali wheels. I WANT TO KNOW IF THE CHANGE IN WHEELS WILL AFFECT MY Tire Pressure SENSORS/SPEEDOMETER?? WAT NEEDS TO BE DONE TO THE COMPUTER? I AM COMPLETLY LOST. CAN ANYBODY TELL ME Wat is required upon swap. I am going to take it to the dealer for the swap. They are both O.E.M and Both off 2014 sierras.

As long as the new wheels have the sensors it work fine. Why you would take it to the dealer to swap wheels is the real question?.. I had wheels swapped as part of the buyers agreement, the dumbasses left 4 lug nuts finger loose and the other two weren't tight on front right wheel, and 2 more on right rear wheel. Two days and 58 miles after purchase they had to get me 1 new wheel due to holes being ovaled, and deep scratches and 5 new lug nuts- 1 stayed on but was loose. And that's from TWO(2) GM Certified Mechanics.

Then the Service Mgr had the balls to say " we look forward to seeing you for your first service or if you're interested in any accessories being installed"

I was shocked, I waited for a second, then I asked " How thanks I appreciate that, how about you apologize for trying to kill me, then we'll talk about future services"

Service Mgr " well sir lug nuts coming off wouldn't be likely to kill you"

My Wife " We were just doing 85 MPH in flowing traffic, dumbass"

I knew the lug nuts came off because front end start to shake violently, especially in the steering wheel...

If the sensors are still in the rims, all you have to do is remove old wheels bolt on new wheels, torque them off to 140lbs I think. Check owners manual it will say the torque value under tire change.

Next drive to any reputable tire install store they will scan in the sensors to work with your car.

This is called scan TPMS relearn.

Usally 5-10min job $20 cash

As said just need to have the sensors re-sync'd to the truck, dealer will take care of this, for the re-sync I wouldn't think there would be a charge.

Just did mine. 2010 to a14. The dealer had to re-sync. Works fine

@ N2 Black... I have a 2012 Sierra 2500. I was going to swap out for 2014 22" rims, but was told they would not fit. What size of 2014 rims did you put on your rig? Thanks!

I had factory 20s that came on the Texas Edition. Gm has had the same six lug pattern for the 1/2 tons for years. Even my 62 has the same pattern. The 2500 should be the same for another 2500. I don't think the 8 lug pattern changed. But if you ate going from a 2500 to a 1500. Yes it won't fit.
