OK I know there is a tun of topics on this but can't seem to find the right fit for me. Want a muffler saw on my 12 6.2 and trying to figure out one that's nice and calm while cruising but has a big bark when I get one it. So I really like the borla sound of the s type. But don't know about hwy speed. Also is the xr-1 the same as s type? I've already watch the borla video on YouTube too. Or what about flowmaster or magnaflow?

Yes I would like to know the same. So far I really like the touring muffler from Borla. I like the cabin nice and quite when I'm on the highway.

I had Borla on my '00. Sounded amazing. Nice tone, but didn't bark. At first I was a little bummed about that, but I really liked it.

My truck now has the Corsa. That has a lot more bark, but I find it more obnoxious on the highway if under load.

If I did it again, I'd do the Borla. They have a more refined sound.

I like the sound of the super 10 from flowmaster saw the vid on YouTube on the same truck as mine has a mean sound to it as far a cabin noise on why or in town I wouldn't hear it cuz my music is loud as heck lol

Flowmaster Delta 50. Perfect rumble for driving around town, quiet down the highway and wakes up nicely when you get on it.. Its supposed to be on the mild side according to Flowmaster but its perfect for what I wanted..

I just ordered my birthday present.

"Borla 140550".

I have a Borla cat back "sport" changed out from a "touring". Cant go wrong with one or the other. Had each before and after the supercharger install. I'm going to the dyno in the morning.,,, no drone either way!

I know it was a different model & motor, but I put the cat-back stock style Magnaflow on my 2k ECSB 4.8. More "growl" when on it, but no drone down the road.

Call all the local dealers besides checking online for the best price. Local mom & pop ordered my setup and it was at least $50 cheaper, even after taxes (been way to long to remember the exact amount!). And they were only about 10 minutes away.

Good luck deciding!

The "Dynomax" super turbo muffler is free flowing, and quiet, reasonably priced. It is an "aluminized body" opposed to stainless steel.

Here are a couple pictures.

If the picture is 2 separate pipes exiting to the right, it is one of the nicest applications I have seen in a long time.

Two thumbs up, VERY clean.

It is two separate pipes from the muffler back.

I really like my GMPP Performance muffler on my all stock 5.3L. It is an all stainless steel muffer made none other than BORLA!! :driving:

Call them and ask if they have any left. There is a Touring & a Sport muffler offered- the later is the louder (& what I recommend). Or you can search "GMPP muffler" on here & find the same thread I found, get the PN# and order off Borla's website!!
