Power Window Issue

2014 GMC Sierra having issues with auto up on driver window. The auto up option when raising the driver window goes up and immediately returns to the original location. To get the window up I have to hold the button and stop it near the top then stutter stop it to close it. I have re-set the memory in the window several times and seems to work for a few times but not long. Seems to be worse when weather is hot or been sitting in the sun. I did have the dealer install the GMC wind visors on the windows. Any ideas?

I have the same problem too I think it is the switch too when I take mine in for servicing I will get the dealer to repair it Norm

Mine has did this once, only on the drivers side. On auto up it would hit the top most range and reverse back down. Like you I had to stop it on the way up and then bring it up to full up. Hasn't done it since then and that was 3 months ago.

I had this happen when I put my avs shades on. I took them off BC they were "in channel ones" and exchanged them for the ones that stick on and it never happened again.

I too had this issue with the GM / AVS in channel vent shades. I removed them and have not had an issue. I am guessing there is a safety feature that senses resistence to prevent fingers from being crushed and the in channel visors cause some resistence sometimes.

Maybe so, but I don't have any visors on my truck.

Same here with the GM installed visors. I figured it was some sort of safety feature as well.

I am starting to have this problem and I have the AVS in channel vent shades. It just started. I was wondering if you have GM check out your window since you do not have the shades.

But you have a Mexican or Chinese made window switch which just oozes quality.

Mine is doing this now after installing the in-channel widow shades....is there a fix for this other than taking then out?....why would GMC sell them if in fact it causes this issue?

Mine also did this while sitting in the direct 80 degree sun and the interior hot. Today, it's 65 and cloudy and the windows closed normally.

Mine would auto up & then drop down about an inch. The dealer said they only had to reprogram...& it works like it is suppose to now. They did it while I waited.

Well I guess I'm not the only one, my driver side window drops all the way down on auto up so I have to inch it up. I have had the in channel's from day one

and now that its getting warm it has happened at least a few times a week.
