Foglights On With High Beams

I have the receipt dated July 22, 2014 and diodes sitting right in front of me. Haven't even broke them out of the package yet. How sad is that?

 

I was waiting for the headlight update, and it is much better driving at night now. Now I can't decide which way I want to go with it, so I am at a stalemate, or impass, or procrastination, or something like that?

 

I may get around to it someday?

 

Buy a set of Rigid lights to go in the fog light position. That'll get you going on the diode mod.

So, with the 10-22 jumper, can you shut the foglights off if you want?

No. They are on at night and if I press the button the dash indicator lights up but the fogs are already on. If I press it again nothing changes. If I am driving in the day I can turn them on manually.

I did the 10-22 mod. It works intended, but I would really prefer to have the fogs come on ONLY when the low and high beams are on. I would like to have my parking lights on without the fogs coming on. Is this possible?

I just did this mod tonight with the diode connected to the 10 & 22 pins. Took all of 2 minutes and works great. Thanks for posting!

The 10-18 jump will cause the fogs to come on when high beams are commanded. When headlights are off or when low beams are on, the fogs can be manually turned on with the 10-18 jump.

On my 2005 Duramax I had it set up so the fogs automatically came on with the lows and stayed on with the highs. I also had the DRL on with lows and highs. I don't care about the DRLs, but I would love a way to automatically turn on the fogs with the lows, but not with the parking lights. I just like the look of the truck with the fogs on but I dislike that the fogs come on and stay on when I remote start the truck.

The only issue I have with 10-22 is not being able to shut them off when I want.

I just ordered a pack of 100 diodes off Amazon for less than it would of cost me to drive to Radio Shack and buy one. Once I get them in I'll give this a shot.
