Is this considered a rare truck?

Today it is really hot out so I have no enthusiasm to do much.

Here is what i did.

I was trying to find out what my 2009 Silverado was worth, it is as about fully loaded as an LT can get, so I did several things.

1. Looked online in Car Trader.
2. Looked online at used trucks at dealers and didn't find any trucks with all the options my truck has.

I didn't find much then I found a report I had run a few years ago and this explains why.

According to this report of my Vin number and Built list, Chevrolet made 38,499 trucks of that year and model. Then it lists every option available, and how many vehicles had each of those options.

Then it says the following.

There are only 65, 2009 P/UP C1500 EXT CAB STD BOX vehicles (0.169%) matching your exact options list.

There are 65 (0.169%) with at least as many options.

So I guess that makes it kind of rare.

What do you think?

It won't fetch more money it's not a collector car. It's cool information don't get me wrong but not many people will consider it special.

Fact that most are purchased as a base model so that they are affordable makes yours expensive.. Not rare. I think you have a great truck, dont get me wrong but...... Its rare because of its price. :dunno:

LT is a mid-trim truck. Nothing special about it price wise. Rarity on a modern vehicle produced in the hundreds of thousands is meaningless, especially since compared to cars trucks are still real customizable. Give it 20-30 years and maybe you'll start seeing certain things being desirable but for now at trade in it'll be another truck and nothing more.

If I remember correctly, I went thru the same thing and found my '06 Silverado was a one of a kind....I don't hold to much faith in it being rare....it's a Silverado, otherwise I would of put it on the floor at the Barret-Jackson Auction
