doverarjim Posted August 5, 2014 Posted August 5, 2014 My OnStar ran out the end of July, they had not been working me very hard to renew, but I thought that I would so I go online and because it was the day before it expired I could not renew online but had to call in. So I said well since I can't do it my way I will give them a couple days and see if they will sweeten the pot. Has anybody gotten a good deal to renew their OnStar if so what did you pay? Thanks for the help.
BlackZ71Silverado Posted August 5, 2014 Posted August 5, 2014 I just renewed mine in my 2010 Silverado after not having it for 2 years. I just got the basic safe & sound plan plus 300 min. of phone for $20.00 and change for 6 months! After that, I have to pay the monthly rate of $19.99 or whatever it is for the OnStar. Not vety worried about the phone deal, don't need it and never really used it. They will hive you a good deal depending on who you talk to but you have to work gor it. I was on the line with the girl gor almost an hour. I think she just hot dick of hearing me talk to they took the $20 and 6 months just to shut me up:

doverarjim Posted August 20, 2014 Author Posted August 20, 2014 Well I got an email today from OnStar!! And it was a notice that I could not use my OnStar, and that if I had an emergency that they would not help me, if my truck was stolen they would not help me, but I could call them and they could reactivate my service???? That email will make me run right out and spend money with them!! (NOT) To me it was a gotta have it but it did come in handy with the mobile phone app that does not work now, so I think it will be their loss not mine since I am saving some money and they need subscribers to keep the service going!!!
SnakeEyeSS Posted August 20, 2014 Posted August 20, 2014 I always figured if it was stolen to call them, pay for a year up front, and then, BTW, where is it?
