looks great, do you know how much the trailer weighs? how did your truck handle it without the tbc?

The trailer weighs 3050 I believe but I'll have to look at the weight ticket to give you a for sure number.

I can't tell how it handled with out a brake controller or a weight distribution hitch because I've never drove anything with em. It did fine on our 330 mile trip home. Other than I could not see around it at all without some sort of tow mirrors.

By next weekend I plan on having the brake controller installed, a weight distribution hitch, and some sort of either slip on tow mirror or just a full replacement.

Then I am going to start working on actual trailer adding lights and ac and insulation.

I got the trailer brake installed today,

Now I just need to decide on Oem tow mirrors or slip on mirrors, also I'm still up in the air about which weight distribution hitch to get. Also I don't have allot of room. jyhuhuba.jpg

The equalizer is somewhat unique in that the position of the frame brackets is adjustable. 32" from the ball is ideal, but it can be as little as 27", which it appears that you have.

Yeah I'm measuring from the very center of the ball

I see nothing but good reviews in the eaz lift system to and it's also made in the USA. And 200 cheaper is what's making my decision tuff.

Hey, I hear ya. If the eaz fits, it will work just fine. Somewhat less elegant than the equalizer, but it's a proven design that's been around for a long time. If it doesn't fit, you may not have much of a choice. The nose on that trailer doesn't leave you a lot of room to work with. If u go the eaz route, be warned that u may need the optional sway control for a trailer of that size. Good insurance to have.

Yeah the eaz lift kit comes with the sway setup and all for 230

Check it out and all the reviews

I found mine in Craigslist for $150. Can't always get that lucky. FYI if you have a harbor freight nearby you can go pick this up in the store, same price.
