Pulling a enclosed trailer, trailer brake

Got it. Didn't correlate the posters correctly. My bad. Still, they are just 4 wheelers w/ seats and cages, no offense.

I have a pristine and rare show car which I drive n haul on an open. I do sooo seriously wish I could afford an enclosed, but it won't happen in my lifetime :( I should probably just forget it and drive it rain and shine, but I just can't bring myself to it yet.

Lot bigger and heavier than a 4 wheeler. And cost double.

Really the trailer was not to much vs buying a toy hauler or rv, 4800 for the trailer.

I Probally would not have bought the trailer, but my wife actually enjoys going to the dunes and stuff so a place for her to cool down is a plus.

Thanks for all the input guys I will look into the harness and see if it has it already I bought my truck in December of 2013.

I have hauled trailers for about 4 years off and on usually flatbed a though no bigger then 20feet, I've hauled a calf trailer a few times but never a full enclosed trailer.

This is why I'm coming to you guys, when the trailer is empty are you going to want to run the brake controller or only when there is a load ?

This is the wd hitch I'm looking at says it's good for up to 10,000 pounds. Most I'd prob ever have is 6k-7k max. I'll be towing some off road toys. edetugaj.jpg

That looks like a Chinese knock-off hitch. The "real" Equal-i-zer is probably what you want:

The Reese Dual Cam (DC) hitches are also good.

Yeah I couldn't pass up that trailer at $4,800 either. Smoking deal.

+1. The spring bars would probably break and bust your head open the first time you try to snap them up. The Reese is a fine piece as well.
