I am starting a new side venture and I need to drill post holes into dirt for real estate signs. So I need to know where I can get an auger or the attachment to make it work with a drill.

I've got both, but dont know exactly what im looking for. Since this is only some side work I dont want to go all out and buy a gas powered auger.

Im buying a New one. It will be a dewalt 20v

Not sure if that will provide enough "umph" to drill post holes. Of course once you find the attachment you could always fab up a lawnmower engine. It would beat buying a new engine.

Basically drilling a 2 inch hole into a front lawn. Shouldnt be that hard.

Basically trying to keep the business all in the family. $25 for 30 minutes of work isnt bad.

Must be pretty soft ground. I was smoking a 8in bit in a gas powered one while trying to add a deck

As allready stated you are going need a lot of torque. A 20v drill wont necesarily provide the power tyo go through clay / stone / slate / etc...

I have seen these before tho and you can try it.. http://www.amazon.com/Yard-Butler-IRP-3-2-75-Inch-Diameter/dp/B00EOMCM4W/ref=pd_sim_sbs_lg_2/191-4966642-3765707?ie=UTF8&refRID=0HS32S9804EY0SD5W0R8

If anything, i would more recommend a right angle hole hog style drill made by milwaukee that is built for boring holes in studs and mixing mortar etc.. But you would need power to run it.

What about some old fashioned post hole diggers?
