I have the atak dual rear exit and i love it, yes its bit loud that's what give character to my truck, i have K&N Intake as well and the combination of intake and Borla Cat back is perfecto

I had a similar setup previously, was the Force 2 system. However it did drone badly....had to tune out the afm. But the Flowmaster sounded great for sure.

i had a magnaflow on my 07 5.3 and that is the definition of drone lol!! I don't know what muffler is on the flowmaster system I have now but I'm pretty sure it's the tamest, maybe not force 2?

Nice exhaust! I like that the slow pass was not very loud but the WOT is badass. I noticed that your truck seems lifted as well, what did you use?

Cut my muffler and put in a flowmaster super 40 and straight piped the resonator.

I recently installed an AirAid CAI and awaiting the arrival of my Borla ATAK system. I must admit I was unaware of the V4 mode issues with the exhaust. Is it really that bad?

I have the ATAK with my 6.2, and I don't notice anything in V4 mode anymore.

 

When I first got the truck I looked for it and didn't really notice, then after a while I did notice a bit of helicopter noise, and now I don't notice at all. I don't know if it makes a big difference that I have the active noise cancellation with my 6.2, but I can tell you that any drone or helicopter noise is very minimal and 100% a non-factor whatsoever for me.

 

If you are looking for it and want it to bother you, it will be there. If you want to just enjoy the truck then your ears/brain will happily gloss over the minimal annoyance.

I just got my Borla S type exhaust installed on my 6.2 and love the sound. No drone whatsoever. I do hear the "helicopter" but not bad at all.
