Bad luck..

So I'm gonna make a long story fairly short. I bought my 2014 back in January and had no issues with it except a few recalls here and there for 21000 km's.

In July I hit a deer at 70mph on the highway head on and wrecked most of the front of my truck, took it in and got it all fixed up under insurance at a collision centre I've gone to for years with no issues

I got the truck back 4 days ago drove it home and then didn't drive it until yesterday again. On my way to work my check engine light started flashing and my stability control and traction control lights lit up on me and the truck started running really hard and the entire truck was vibrating extremely rough. Seeing as i was pulling into work i figured I'd deal with it afterwards.

Well after work i tried driving it home. nothing was getting any better only worse. The Engine running hard. engine started ticking (not injectors something totally new and louder) no power at all almost as if it was stuck in v4 mode sounds like absolute crap and felt like i was driving a cheap piece of shit truck. less than 100 kms on it since i got it back and its just right f'd.

Im taking it to the dealer once they open but I'm wondering if my collision with the deer would of caused the engine to start acting up like it is. I really don't want to have to go get my engine on a brand new truck rebuilt.

Thanks for listening to me rant a little.

Ill edit this when i get a verdict from the dealer.

its at the dealer now, no ones gonna look at it til monday I'm told, spark plug wires were fine when i checked the engine yesterday. The service guy at the dealer was pretty good though and i got a nice 15 2500 dmax to play with til i get my truck back

Was your issue resolved and what was the problem? My truck is a little under 12k and I'm having the same issues.

I had the flashing CEL and service stabilitrak messages at 5800 miles...

Fuel injector was bad on cylinder 6. Dealer replaced, no issues since.

I’m sorry to hear that you are also experiencing this concern. Unfortunately, I am not a certified technician and I’m unable to provide technical assistance, but I’d like to look further into your concern. My wife wrecked an HHR once, and I did the same by taking to an established shop. One that I'd used before and was happy with. Mistake! They really messed up the rebuild, fortunately my insurance company was behind me and after some back and forth with the shop, they told me they would not work on it any more. Surprised both me and my insurance company... So I took it to a dealership I trusted and they fixed the rest of the problems 100% correctly, all paid by insurance. Never know who you can trust any more....
