Hearing a "thumping" sound from my 2014

Hello everyone, recently I've been hearing a thumping sound coming from either the rear of the truck or mid driver side of my 2014 pickup truck. I checked for any loose items in my bed, it's empty. I seem to hear it only when i start it up in the morning or from a cold start in the afternoon and I make a left or right hand turn on uneven road surfaces...Can't seem to do it more than once after it does it..

I have a 2.5" RC kit and checked my left, right shock bolts, checked my rear leaf spring u bolts, can't seem to find out where it is coming from...

Took it to the dealer and they said "it's normal".....I couldn't fully replicate the sound when I took it to the dealer, but the service dude was talking about "oh this is probably from the lift"....But it never happened before?

Any ideas on what to check?

Thanks!

BTW, the truck drives and operates 100% smoothly, just that noise from cold start suspension.

I was getting a thump noise when I turned to the right while backing up then appling brakes a deep thump noise coming from the front rack area, only hapens when truck is cooler?

On my 2013 Sierra my rear axle was rotating forward and ubolts were under torqued allowing leaf springs to move up and down more then normal.

There was a wear mark on axle "shiny spot" at the axle to leaf spring hardware.

If all is good it could be an axle wrap issue.

hmm, okay I will check the axle, is this something I should bring up to the dealer?

Problem fixed. Front shock tower bolts were loose. Tighten them up and sound is gone.

WTF is it with GM and loose bolts? Half the issues on these trucks has to do with shit not being tightened properly.

I wonder if made in Mexico, using untrained workers, lack of motivation on part of workers, and lack of adequate quality control has anything even remotely to do with it.

Considering that he found the front strut upper bolts loose and that he put a 2.5 RC kit on the truck and that the front struts must be removed to put the RC 2.5 kit upper spacer on, I think your weak attempt at diagnosing his problem is very much flawed.

Pretty much, problem was my fault, checked the bolts after 100 miles or 2.5 RC kit, forgot to re-check bolts after 300 miles :tear:

My Mexican built truck is one of the flawless ones so far. 8,600 perfect miles with nothing but pure satisfaction and enjoyment. I am amazed at the poor attitude people seem to have in regards to trucks manufactured in Mexico. They are still GM trucks built to GM standards in a GM factory run by GM.

^I had owned a 2011 Ford Fusion Sport V6 and it was built in Mexico, almost 4 years old and never once took it to the dealer for any problems or warranty repairs.
