How about this, rocket scientist: Start naming all the vehicles which have come from the factory with painted cast iron exhaust manifolds. If it's a long list, your point is valid. But it won't be.

 

Because nobody does that! You're making up issues just to give yourself another reason to badmouth the 2014 GMs. If it was something commonly done on "quality" vehicles (not "made in China" or "made in Mexico") you would have a point. But nobody does it, so it's a stupid thing to complain about. Do you not get that?

Ya it's really not that big of a deal. It's not like it's going to rust through like it would on the body. And if it somehow does then there's a reason to get aftermarket headers. If it bothers you so much then buy headers, or factory cast manifolds and spray paint them with engine paint. I haven't heard anybody else complain about it.
