First Start up in the Morning

I don't know if I have an issue or not. I don't have any lights, the truck runs fine but the first startup of the day after it's been sitting overnight, the truck takes like an extra second to start. It's noticeably longer than it should. All over GM trucks I've ever owned fired right up once you breathed on the key.

Has anyone else noticed this and if so, did GM do anything about it?

basically DI takes more pressure to operate. So that extra half second its building pressure.

Ok, makes sense. I didn't think anything was wrong, but figured I'd ask.

I usually just turn the key to the "on" position, and wait for the dinging to go off and then it starts right up without extra cranking.

just like a diesel....direct injection....same with the noisy injectors (though not as bad as a diesel).

the crank/fire delay is programmed into the ECM and is an editable table.....though no reason to change it.
