2015 Silverado Vibrations?

Hello everyone! I'm strongly considering selling my F250 and buying a '15 Silverado but have been hesitant mainly because of the vibration issues I've been reading about.

 

It's probably a little early but.....have you guys heard of anyone with a '15 that does, or does not have vibration problems?

Not really anyone on the forums yet with 15's might be 1 or 2 guys. Hopefully they chime in soon

Fingers crossed because I love the look of both the Sierras and Silverados.

 

I'm done with this '11 F250 and all the emission system problems I've had, as well as keeping up with DEF fluid (so stupid). And I don't care for the design of the F150...the Toyotas are just ok...and there is no way I'm driving a Dodge. So I'm really hoping the '15s have been straightened out!

I ordered a '15 to replace my vibrating '14. I'm hopeful the replacement won't vibrate. I'll post after I pick it up.

Ordered a 2015 yesterday after GM offered me a full buy back. Given that the full buy back was only for the replacement of another GM vehicle, I decided to go with a 2015 Sierra 6.2L w/8-Speed that did not cost me anything out of pocket. The dealer told me that I could drive the '15 for an extended period of time before I signed any paperwork. If I was not happy with the '15, they told me I was not bound to purchase the vehicle. If the '15 vibrates, I will take my '14 and trade it in on something else. I'd rather try to get a new free truck before taking a couple thousand dollar hit on purchasing another brand.

Please keep in mind you read about this issue here but the actual number of trucks out there with a vibration issue is very very small percentage.

 

Probably the reason GM is buying them back. If it was a big issue they would be handling it much different.

 

The people with the issue or issues in general tend to find the forums when they are seeking out help and support which we all like to give.

 

But it creates a picture of a bigger issue than it really is some times.

 

My truck has only gone in for to get a fog light replaced and that was just defective bulb. I noticed the first day I had the truck.

If I were you I'd find the truck I wanted and test drive it up to 80 m.p.h. If it doesn't vibrate, and it probably won't, buy it. I've had my Silverado for over 11 months, they rotated the tires yesterday, and it still never vibrated. I have two friends with '14 G.M.Cs, one Denali and one with an A/T with the 6.2. They love their trucks just like I love mine. Very few trucks have this problem, and G.M. seems to buy back the few that do.

That is really good to hear! Hoping that my 2015 (which will most likely be built in late 2014) will have all the vibs worked out of it. I am getting a Double Cab z71 similar to yours. What month was yours built? My current 2014 was built in May and it vibrates like a SOB.

Should be in the inside of the Driver's Side door. I think it is a gray-ish sticker???

 

If it's not there, maybe check in the inside of the Passenger Side door.
