Trying to find my orignal factory shift points. I know i take off in first then i feel the shift into what i think is second but i feel no other bumps, rpms at 60 are 2000. Not bad, i just want to be sure the transmsson is shifting properly.

Thans for any help.

I belive the trany is a 4l60

I believe there are no MPH shift points to find as it is dependent on throttle angle , , all I've seen is gear ratios

Your tach going down obviously indicates a shift , not sure what else to tell ya

What is your rear gear ratio? I only ask because mine is 3.42 and the only time my truck is at 2k rpms at 60 is just before it goes into torque convertor lockup. So either you don't have 3.42s or you have a torque convertor issue as well.

Just came across your other thread about shifting problems...in that one your truck does seem to be shifting, in this one you don't notice it shifting....{I am confused}

Please confirm with us which problem you're working on, no shift? or shift problem?

It is a shift problem. The shift from 1 to maybe 2 nd if i drive at a low rpm shifts at 1100 rpms if i lift off it slides into another gear if i do not let off it holds till 2500 before shifting. All gears seem to be working and at 60 mph the rpms are around 2000 to 2500. Have cleaned maf and throtle plate.

Trans shop says 2nd and 4th band gone, gave me a choice of replacing band or rebuild. Went with rebuild hopefully it will last another 110,000 miles.

Thanks for all the replys
