Although to be fair, the new Malibu is quite nice.

 

They probably wouldn't ask me cos my truck was purchased used.

It was an invitation through email im guessing because I bought a new 14 Sierra ....

Tattooo, you are correct. The invitation was for buying a 2014; they are already designing the next couple years and are trying to get market feedback to concentrate engineering and styling efforts. I received an invitation last night as well.

The new design is mediocre at best, I really see nothing that stands out as innovating in these new trucks, kinda disappointing really but GM still needs a serious overhaul in my eyes and all these stupid recalls and unnecessary lawsuits are going to force them to do so. But hey, it's only my opinion and no one has to agree nor disagree if they feel so inclined to do so!

If you are referring to me then no, I do not own any of the GM twins. More of an observation from a previous Chevy owner, think GMT800.

No disrespect but if you owned or even driven one you could then have accuratly generated an opinion & it would certainly change once you have seen or felt the advancements. I Have owned sierras & yukon's from 1999, 2004 & 2014 so have more of a real world assessment.

Designing a new model is a huge thing. They always start shortly after the old one hits the streets. And GM let the 900s sell for way too long, they need to be like Ford and Ram with shorter product cycles.

Oh I don't know about that.. Considering GM trucks have been in the top 5 selling vehicles in America for who knows how many years now, I think they've done just fine by keeping the GMT-800s and 900s as long as they did before the redesigns. That's just good $$$ for GM and gives the engineers and Quality Control more time to work out bugs on the new models. Grant it some things won't be realized until full production is started and they get 40,000+ of those models out on the road.

Funny is how we have two 2500HD's in our fleet at my base that I drive/have driven for a few months. Same design principle but HD. Sure technology has come along way but my 13 VW has that tech and then some and has had it for years before. And to be honest, I could care less for the technology they throw into vehicles now a days. Guess that's why I prefer my MR2 over the GTI lol. So.much simpler yet everything meshes well and looks great being a 20 y/o car. So my opinion better count when so many GM enthusiasts are leavin for other products.
