Paint chip on door after car wash

what you are missing is, if you are in fact married....YOU ARE THE OWNER!

I would take it to a different dealership...In fact I'm wondering why you haven't done so already.

Agreed. But I'm kind of interested in this position the dealership has taken as it may be in violation of GM/Chevy guidelines or violate the warranty terms potentially creating other liability for that dealership/GM.

We are considering a couple of options here - one is, as you suggest, taking it to another dealership now. The other is to just wait until the truck hits ~ 34 months and then get all the warranty paint work done (at another dealership) ... that way if other panels start to peel as expected, we can get all the work done in one visit and multiple panels peeling may change the decision of the dealership/GM on repainting more of the vehicle. The blotchy/streaky primer bleed through may be more obvious on the side panels by then as well - right now, only the hood is easy to see from any angle. At that time we'll probably be making all the other usual decisions (with fresh paint - sell it, trade it in, keep it, get an extended warranty, etc).

Dis-satisfied Time LINE beyond disappointing.

3/4/2016 bought my first new truck. It was a very happy week then:

3/11/2016 noticed the roof was messed up dings and scratches all over

3/21/2016 dealer picked it up to repaint the roof

3/25/2016 picked truck up roof looked nice, mad that it isn't factory spec but looks close. Still ridiculous for a brand new truck.

3/26/2016 hand clean it because I don't want to touch the roof at all and notice there is dull paint near the bottom of the doors on both sides. Called dealer they will get it in ASAP and "Correct the issue" Really GM $49,000 brand new and this is what I have to go through

Is this bad paint or dealer issues
