Got my Lund Rock Rails put on. Pretty happy with the look. Very simple to put on. I did go ahead and put some 3m clear vinyl 6 inch strips along the very bottom of rocker panel. Thinking it may help, cheap enough to give it a shot.

Now on to retractable tonneau covers..

If you don't mind me asking..... what did that 4" BDS run you installed ? I want a 4" on mine bad! Looks Good. Does the BDS kick the front track width out wider than the rear? You got any pictures of it from the front looking down one side ???

Thanks.

I paid about $6200 installed with tires. The kit itself isn't bad but when you start adding the fox coilovers it doubles the price and then 35" toyos are never cheap lol. The BDS does kick the front track out about an inch on mine and I'm running factory wheels was opposed to negative offset aftermarket wheels which would stick out a bit more. I have a couple pix right now but I might have to take a few more to show you. I'm not running spacers because it's such a small difference I don't notice it and it doesn't bother me. ec2c9e0ec52d576638319c4cb0c54d0f.jpg0253a04c305af20b895bbf0f2afe8eb9.jpg96c901e19b70f5efe3af90c727d72393.jpga3116d5d71426e26167895a87e7f5419.jpg

No, I get that question a lot. I'm super happy that there's no rubbing and I didn't have to do any trimming. Honestly the truck drives just like it did stock... only better ??

Truck Looks Great man ! I definitely want a 4", but I only want to run 305's. And I actually like the look of the factory wheels on there. I'm thinking of running my factory wheels with 305's when I finally get it lifted. That's why I asked it the lift kicked the front wheels out some because I would actually prefer it to do that and then run spacers on the rear if I kept factory wheels. If I got aftermarket wheels then I would rather the lift maintain the same track width as factory. But your truck looks great. Good job on it.

Do you have it tuned? How bad of a power loss feel did you get with the 35's ?

Thanks I really appreciate the compliment man. I'm glad I kept the factory 20's on there for sure. I just got them stripped powder coated black and then remachined the face with a brushed effect and clear coated. Cost me like $600 for all four. In my opinion, I don't think you'll be happy for more than about a day with 305's. I debated keeping my 305/55r20 toyo at2 extremes that I ran with my level when I got the lift and I'm really glad I went to 35's. I don't know what power train you have but I'm gonna assume the most common (5.3L w/ 6 speed and 3.42's) is what I have and power loss is pretty minimal. I was expecting more power loss honestly but it's not bad. I'm not running a tuner yet because there are only a couple out right now for the 2016's so as soon as more choices like Edge comes out I'll pick one up. I'm only running an AFE intake which I love that adds some power and killer engine growl when some gas is applied.

those wheels look fantastic - great idea with the black power coating and then machining the face and clear coating - never thought of that but it looks WAY better than most aftermarkets, especially on a summit white truck. NICE

Thank you my friend. They came out way better than I expected. Especially the machining part, I didn't expect to have that brushed aluminum look and I'm happy because it saved me a ton of $$$ and factory wheels have the best offset and backspacing for running big tires especially on a 4" lift!

Here's a better look at them. I mean they're not the best pix because it's always raining and it's impossible to keep a vehicle clean in shitty North Carolina but they'll do. It's kinda funny because when I'm at the dealership the employees are always like,"Did those wheels come with the truck???"808e62c1876ccb8d07894b21ca7f9398.jpg5ecbd7aab7fb8804b716f0487f65d088.jpg

Those are even better looking up close - I like that they powder coated the lug nut areas black - those wheels combined with the fox coilovers look badass...GM should be offering those and they would get some serious activity on them....hmmm, i wonder what black lug nuts would look like....

    • So you're saying toss the baby out with the bathwater? @txab posted article was her take on how AI can be used to manipulate pricing as it already does and has been rebuked by the judiciasry in housing. How AI can be and is used to maximize refinery or even Amazon operations all of which are true but because she is who she is; that makes what she says about what is true, false? Is that something akin to Pre-justice aka prejudice?    Look, I'm first in line to approach all information with caution just because we live in a world where people like to lie about someone or something with such a straight face and in such volume that it makes digging to the truth wearisome. Meaning I understand the skepticisms but if I were to toss out everything a person is for a view they hold then my pool of people to draw wisdom from would be non-existent and I'd be forced to reinvent the wheel daily. Not practical.    "Be innocent as a dove but as cautious as a serpent."    Test each word. Every good lie is part truth or no one would believe it. Find the truth in it and reject what isn't.    On this one, AI is being used to do what has been done by hand for hundreds of years already but at such speed, the point of a computer, that it is more easily monetized. This one wasn't that hard a lift.    I wrote a few formulas in a Lotus 123 program decades ago, a series of linked Macros actually, that allowed a daily inventory to be turned into a running P&L and production plan. Something that took three departments a week to assemble now took the time it takes to input the 'daily changes' in inventory. Later that was ungraded to the more powerful Excel program an and integrated with bar code scanning, inventory to supply was done once per shift. It had a huge impact on production scheduling, Seamless interruption flexibility, inventory error reduction, raw materials cost effective utilization and scrap reduction. Huge improvement in the bottom line. I spent months on that and AI could have done it in minutes. So yes, it not only can be used, they would be foolish to not try. The legality, ethics and morality are not the domain of AI. Humans need to keep a reign on it.
    • New to this forum.  Also looking to tune a 6L80 and trying to work out all the issues in my transmission swap.  I have a 6.2 diesel (1983) and have removed the TH-400 and about to put in a 6L80 with a TCM-2600 interface and don't have a clue what I doing after that.  Did you (Leatherneck/RAV3) get your slip resolved? I too hate to spend that kind of money on a tuner that hopefully I will not need too many times although from what steelerdude15 added about the HP Tuner being great for diagnostics would be a plus.  I am also from WNC but below you in Columbus.  Any helo would be greatly appreciated.
