Best Bed Mat and Tailgate Mat?

I just purchased a new 2015 Silverado double cab and want to purchase a bed and tailgate mat so I am looking for suggestions and recommendations.

I've always bought the heavy black rubber mats sold by my camper dealer. I have no idea what brand they are. Keep in mind that anything you add to the tailgate will cause the tailgate to drop harder.

For a grand total of $130 I went with the DeeZee bed mat and WeatherTech tailgate mat. Ordered off Amazon.

I have a Dee Zee rubber mat that I moved from an '03 to a '13. It's just some kind if 1/4" thick or so piece of rubber (or something like rubber) that has reinforcing string of some kind in the rubber. It's made or fit around the wheel wells and pretty much covers up the bottom of the bed. It'll last forever and is pretty heavy to move in and out. I rarely take it out. As for the tailgate, I ended up using a hard plastic cover (can't remember the brand) that has to screw on. I need to be able to slide stuff on the tailgate so a rubber mat wouldn't work for me there.

I have a DeeZee rubber bed mat in my truck and it is great and I only paid $65 total shipped to my house for it. No issues.

I got the factory GM one off of Amazon for $100. This mat is thicker and heavier than an aftermarket one that I had in my other pickup. It also is more tacky than the old one so things don't slide around on it. I have the hard plastic bed liner on the tailgate. It allows things to slide into the box easier and I got it for free.

I have the thick rubber liner from my 13 and it fits fine.

I bought the WeatherTech tailgate protector and it's a piece of junk.

I got the GM bed mat & tailgate liner as part of the deal when I bought my 2014 Double Cab.

i have the new weather tech that velcros in and goes three inches up the sides of the bed for liquids and such. i love it!

I just have a bed mat with no liner, but I have seen lots of trucks with both. Some people like the mats because things tend to not slide around so much.

I just use a garden hose and squirt out the bed. The rubber bed mat keeps things from sliding around. I actually took a big bed mat and screwed it to the (gun) bed drawers I have.

The Bedrug covers the whole bed plus the tailgate. The GM Bedmat prevents the bedrug from getting muddy.
