Is this too much rust?

I have recently acquired what I think is a 90's GMC something box truck. My question is, how much rust is too much to fix up? I am a complete novice at this so try not to be too technical with your answers. The interior is perfect, solid, and air tight. The problem is the exterior, especially underneath. I'm attaching two pictures. Thanks in advance.

That's about expected for a 20ish year old truck...not worth trying to fix, unless something is on the verge of failure.

+1, still looks like mostly surface rust anyway.

I'm actually impressed with its condition. What would you expect metal to look like 20 years later when left in the elements with no protection? I'm not trying to be a smart-ass, I'm just saying what I picture in my mind is wayyyyyy worse than that.

You should be good to go! Just remember the maintenance!
