Yes, but if you were to knock a few holes in the muffler or just straight cut the exhaust off, then you'd realize why you buy the 6.0. If GM brings back the 8.1 I'm ashamed of myself to admit how bad a financial decision I'd be willing to put myself in to get a truck with that motor. Especially in a WT with no upgrades at all except 4x4 and a locker.

I love my truck, it's a crew cab work truck 4x4, got it for 35 OTD. No complaints whatsoever, I know the 6.0 doesn't scream but it lasts forever and does the job. I was thrilled to see GM made the 4.10 axle and locker standard equipment, that is a big part of why I pulled the trigger.

 

Everyone has their reasons for wanting one rig or another, if someone wants a fast rig they can get a 6.2 1/2 ton, if they want a fuel efficient basic rig they can get a 4.3, if they like hanging out at the gas station they can get a gasser 3/4 ton!
