Found the camera and handle on EBAY, Thanks.

One more question. Should it just be plug and play, I have the port by the spare tire, or do I have to have the dealer flash it?

I have only talked to one dealer in the Houston area that would even take a look at getting installed for me. You best bet would be sending of your HMI and having it programed and then the rest (camera) should be plug and play. There was one guy that had to tap into his reverse light to get power to his camera, but he had a WT so you may not have that problem with an LT. Shoot Anthony Brush (919-995-9523) a text tomorrow and ask him how you can go about getting that flashed, he should know.

Have the wiring, can buy the parts, but dealer says they need a CAL (calibration) number for their programming tool to trigger the camera support. In the past GM has sold accessories supplied with a CAL they use to activate the accessory. Sold as a kit. Unfortunately this isnt available as a kit., and the dealer has no clue how to address the issue without CAL

Going with a GPS that supports wireless backup camera wired to reverse lights as an alternative.

Not trusting my HMI module to an internet provider.

Ultimately about the same cost as as camera parts and programming, but have a GPS to boot.

I can understand that. The only one I trust is MVI, mainly because I have heard so many good things. You could always do the option where they send you a new HMI module and then you send yours back (I think MVI does this) just to make sure everything works properly.

After buying the GM camera and bezel online I went to three dealers and finally the third dealer had the knowledge to program the camera to make it work on my 2015 WT. Most dealers have no idea how to do the programming. The dealer never even exposed the HMI under the glove box. All they did was plug in their computer under the dash and entered the proper codes, which they received from GM, and the back up camera worked.

Do you have io3 or io4?

Received my camera and tailgate handle that I ordered from Amazon, $130. Installed it myself. Paid the Chevy dealer $50 to program. Works great.

I am not sure what software version I have but its the small 4" screen.

Would you mind checking? Its in the top glove box on that silver sticker and will be either io3 or io4. And it is in alphabetical order. Thank you in advance!

Has anyone looked into if there is a difference in the 2014/15 cameras vs. the 2016 camera ? I got a 2016 as a loaner this week and the clarity seems so much better than on my 2014. If the 2016 camera fits and wires up the same, it may be a better upgrade.

My version on my 2015 WT Silverado is io4

Thanks man! I guess I missed the fact that there were WT with io4 when I bought haha.

Never thought of this. Thanks!
