Ok...so this video just got uploaded:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H-eSu3aw8aU

This shows our kit that requires running the harness to the front...we supply a preflashed HMI all ready to go for your specific truck. Would require sending your old module back to replace the one we send pre-flashed.

I will hopefully have footage in the next week so you can compare image quality to the one from the factory.

Feel free to call or PM me for plug and paly options...eliminating running the harness to the front.

here you go...hopefully this helps a little. We were finally able to do some comparison. Video images are slightlt different due to camera locations couldn't be exactly the same....but there are noticeable differences.

This guy is the man. I purchased and installed his camera kit and it works awesome. Nice clear picture. At first I got the error message when shifting back to drive. He sent me a relay to delay the camera. No more error message. Now the rear camera stays on for a few seconds after shifting to drive, which is nice.

I also had a problem with my nav which I bought from someone else. That guy couldn't help me. I called Anthony and he gave me some free advice, and now my nav works like it should. Thank you!!!

Hey guys i have a problem. Hoping someone could give some help. As i mentioned earlier i installed oem tailgate camera off ebay. I then bit the bullet and ordered the io4 to io5 kit with 8inch screen and hmi. Got it all installed and camera works but screen is only 4 inches big over in left top corner of 8 inch screen. Also touchscreen function only works part of time. Of course i called the seller and they said this was their first actual io4 to io5 swap. That i was abit of a guinea pig. Anyway they said they had done plenty io4 to io6 w nav and they knew that would work. Their supposed to be doing some research and getting back with me. Anyway i took my glovebox back out and studied wiring and it appears my truck does not have the green center positioned plug that goes into j4 on hmi. I watched youtube video several times and noted that theirs did have all 5 wire plug ins including center j4. I even removed top glovebox to search for it. Could this be my problem? Does anyone else with factory io4 have this j4 wire. Anyway my weekends ruined. I really dont want to have to return that pretty big screen. Also i didnt want to have to spend almost double for io6 nav just to get screen to work. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

Alright so I got some great news on 8" screen. Received new HMI today and installed it. Everything works perfect now. Screen is so beautiful compared to old 4.2" screen. Really makes dash so much nicer. Really cool part is they sent me 2015 HMI so now I have texting which is really nice. Hats off to Jenni and Carl at digital dash aka fixmygauges.com. I couldn't be happier. Now to add an amp for door speakers. Any recommendations for these new trucks?? Need to know if I need loc or not.

So do you truely have a plug and play option for these trucks? I'd prefer not to do any extra drilling, splicing of wires, etc. I have a 2014 with the 4.2 in radio. You also have the option for display in the mirror? Is this also plug and play?

Thanks.

I have a 2015 Silverado and would like a OEM back up camera as well. I would like to know what you mean you had your mylink flashed for a back up camera. I also have the the filler plug under my truck you talked about and showed picture of.

After not getting any response on here or by email from MVI and being kinda nervous about having to reprogram the truck I went the backup cam in the rearview mirror route. Which I am very happy with.

I've had my camera installed for about a month and a half now and no issues. Like I mentioned above very happy with it.

I posted this in another thread but figured it'd be more helpful here (sorry didn't take pics during install):

I bought the backup camera kit from www.cubbycam.com which seems like very good quality. They were quick to respond to my questions and emailed me a pdf of the install guide before I ordered.

It came with the tailgate handle with camera, which was prety simple to remove the access panel on the inside of the tailgate and swap out. It had a harness that ran from the back up to the underside the drivers side area which again was pretty straight forward I just followed the existing harness that ran along the outside of the drivers side frame using zip ties every 12 inches to hold it to the other harness. I had to pull up the carpet and drill a 1" hole in the floor on the drivers side for the harness to come up thru. This made me nervous but it had a rubber grommet and some sealant paste stuff to seal it up good. The replacement onstar mirror that has the camera image imbedded I swapped out and by removing the center overhead console which come out really easy, basically just pulls down and a couple screws. I then fished the new mirror harness above the headliner over to the drivers side A pillar. I had to remove the visor, 3 screws, and the plastic pillar piece which come off easy too. Finished fishing that harness down the pillar and then down under the dash. The camera harness and the mirror harness connect under the drivers side dash. The last part, which again made me a little nervous was I had to splice (I used the t-tap connectors) into two existing wires of the truck that went into the BCM. In all it took me a few hours going slow and being careful.

Well, he has had plenty of opportunity and actually stopped responding to pm's when I can obviously see when he is online.

Basically, he advertised audio controls, I paid him for audio controls, he said he shipped them on the 10th, I didn't receive them until the 28th, he lives 4 hours from me, the tracking number said it wasn't shipped until 23rd. When I received them, they are cruise controls and not audio controls. I have been sending pm trying to get him to respond but he is not. So I decided to step up my efforts.
