2005 2500 bigger tires

Probably a debate that's been discussed already (I did search a little bit.....)

Anyways, I am in the market for new tires and wheels for my 2005 2500 standard cab long box. Front end cranked up to accommodate a heavy plow and 2" blocks in the back. I like the way it sits but the 245's look too small on it now.

Going to use the stock alloy 16" wheels that I think are 6.5" wide as I like them.

How big of a tire can I put on these? Was thinking 265/75/16 on Michelin LTX MS2. Probably an E rating but maybe even 285's would work? Might be too wide tho,

Here it is. Sits high in the back to accommodate 900 lbs of ballast for plowing.

Pics of your truck with a similar configuration using stock wheels with bigger tires would be appreciated

I put a Rough Country Level Kit on mine which give you the shock extensions and the new keys. Just leveling the front with the back looks killer. It is a rougher ride but works out nice and keeps the front from dipping at all with an 8ft Fisher on it. I also put the LT285/75R16 REVO'S on without any problems. I'm real happy with this set up. My two cents...

I had 285 BFG's, and they fit perfect! Had to trim the front plastic bumper slightly, but I also didn't level the truck. I now have 265's, and they react to trailer's a lot better.
