Hello All,

I am from Alberta, Canada and I hope to be getting a new Sierra soon. I currently drive a 2008 Sierra SLE ext cab that's been quite reliable but it's time for an upgrade at 255000 Km. (158k ish miles)

I placed an order through a Calgary dealership that seemed to be the best out of 7 dealers I talked to across northern Alberta. It's a Sierra SLT 6.2l with NHT (which I understand is on constraint). The salesman at this particular dealer was recommended by a coworker and he was by far the most transparent and straight to the point kind of salesman out of the ones I have talked to. He is actually the commercial sales manager at this dealer. I thought I got a good deal so far quoted for $60k MSRP (CAD) and I get the truck for $47K is what it came out to with the rebates, loyalty, student, and company preferred pricing, etc. Canadian guys chime in if you think otherwise, American gents that have a good idea about the prices differences as well.

Long story short I am merely waiting for a build confirmation so he puts it but the factory does have to order.

I have been reading around these forums a while and I am aware of the quirks and problems some guys have but note the success some have had as well (including another coworker of mine that has a 2014 Sierra AT SLT).

Hope to have a new truck sometime soon but old faithful still chugs along without much issue.

Look forward to the feedback!
