Billet Grill

Ok guys to make a long story short my stock grill looks horrible from debris and other stuff.  I am going to put in a billet grill.

Whats the difference between brushed and polished?  I am particularly looking at the stull product

Thanks

This probably wont be the best explaination but I'll try.  Polished is smooth and shiny like chrome and brushed is dull and basically looks like someone sanded it in one direction with light sand paper.  I am partial to brushed myself.

i want something dark so i think brushed would be better?

How does it hold up with rocks and such?

Ryan,

I want a brushed as well for the dark.

With your grill, it should deflect a good bit, but if you take a direct hit with a rock, it will show. But you will look good until you do.

I want a dark grill not a bright chrome one.  The speed grill does look nice but i want something more subtle

kinda pricey but i think it would look awesome

Looks good, just don't know how much room I'd have to move the shell with the brush guard on...Actually Ryan, how do you plan on tackling this?

I am removing the grill guard to do some cleaning (and fix a few rusty spots)

Ryan, you may want to consider painting it w/ some rust proof paint and then a few coats of glossy black.  I ended up doing mine w/ spray on bed-liner which looked great, had a textured look and when it was nice and clean the spray on bedliner had a nice sparkle to it.

I second this idea.  I have a few friends that have coated their brush guards & nerf bars with that stuff.  Holds up awsome...no more rust.   :thumb:
