I have 17000 miles right now

Just imagine how many dealer visits you will have made by the time this truck gets to 170k miles.

I have asked for them to buy it back. It is under review.

I'd sent it to them in writing and also notify your state attorney's office. Simply asking them to do it over the phone may not get you anywhere. I can tell you from experience that after 5 trips to the dealer for various issues (main one being vibration at 70) there were discussions of a buy back with the service manager but after 4-6 weeks of that I got no where. I then filed a defect notice with my state and GM and within a week I had a call from the GM Business Resource Center. Two weeks later I was approved for a "replacement vehicle." At the last minute GM decided to do a buyback in lieu of the replacement because a buyback does not affect the title of the vehicle whereas when a vehicle is replaced they have to note it on the title. A buy back is pretty much the same as trading in your current vehicle at the same amount you paid for it.

Links or contact info for the process of filing a defect notice? This is the path I am going to have to take as well. Buyback talks with the stealership are going nowhere.

It varies depending on what state you are in. In Florida, "Defect Notice" is the legal term for "lemon law." Filing this notice forces the manufacturer (in this case General Motors) to address your issues. Some states require that you file a notice with the "BBB Autoline."

I am filling out the form with the BBB Autoline. Talks with the dealership are going nowhere with me as well... Yesterday the customer service manager gave me 2 coupons for $25 off my next service - ummmm, all of my services are free with their "lifetime" program.

Kimbarnes and Green 1364,

We're truly sorry for the multiple issues you've encountered with your trucks including the heated seats and radio reception. Please feel free to send us a PM if you'd like for us look into these concerns further. We'd be happy to do so.

Kind Regards,

Wow. I hope I get none of these issues. If I do I'll certainly be filing for a buy back. My truck has been flawless so far. Good luck!!

Hey, GM, you make it mighty hard for me to buy you truck! Fix ye customers issues, then, I might listen to their praise instead of new truck problems.

Update - the truck went back to the shop on Saturday. Friday the sunroof broke for the 3rd time... They are also checking the vibration at 70mph, the constant rattle in the passenger seat, the wire hanging from the passenger seat, and why music skips when I play it through my iPhone. The tech at the dealership did tell me Chevy is not compatible with Apple products....ummmm really?

Update - they have to order a new piece for the sunroof, they can't re-create the problem at 70mph because there aren't any roads near them to get up to 70..., they can't re-create the music skipping problem because no one there has music downloaded on their phones so they think it's just our phones...

I feel your pain. I am in the process of GM doing a buyback in my 2015 GMC Denali for multiple suspension problems with the magnetic ride. I had mine in the shop six times since November and then my transmission solenoid went out for a seventh trip to the dealer. I requested a buyback and within a week the regional manager approved it. Keep being loud about the problems. I ended up having to go to the general manager of the dealership because the service manager just keep telling me everything wrong was a normal characteristic of the vehicle yet they did not have another one to compare it too.

Good job. You have to be persistan otherwise the dealer will push you around and only further piss you off. Been there done that with BMW
