Guys I finally am updating from my 2007 classic to the 2015.

Below the list of stuff I'll post what'll be for sale if you want to skip. The truck is coming with options I don't want.

I ordered:

2015 Silverado 1500,

Z71 4wd

LTZ(order sheet also says 2LZ...)

Crew cab

Tungsten metallic

Cocoa/dune perforated leather

5.3L

3.43 ratio

18 wheel(didn't want the chromed 20's)

Chevy my link with nav

Z71 appearance package

Sun roof

Spray in liner

Cargo tie downs

Heated and cooled seats

LTZ plus package

Park assist

Led bed lights

Heated steering wheel

Back up camera

Onestar with the 4G

The rest are things that im sure you already know come on it.

So I learned that if you order truck from chevrolet(even if you do it on their site) you can add just any feature, even the basics. I'll explain, I ordered the LTZ package wanting pretty much all the options including heated and cooled seats. With the LTZ package it has chrome grill, chrome door handles, chrome mirror caps, chrome bumpers, chrome weather sills on window, and chrome side molding. I don't want any of those features except the chrome bumpers.

So the dealership also ordered me all the painted pieces and will install once the truck arrives. I'll at that time be selling the chrome handle,window weather sills, side molding, grill and mirror caps. I'm not sure price yet and will remind anyone closer to time by posting again.

This will be a long 6-8 weeks!

2LT is not an LTZ. It must be a 2LZ.

Curious as to how much extra are the painted parts and how much to install them?

High country, ordering the normal black Z71 grill, painted mirrors, painted handles, painted side molding, painted mirrors, black window seals, and having all installed is going to cost $1900. I was in the room when he was getting the price of materials, and then called the shop in back, I don't remember exactly the cost of each but the grill is the most expensive part. The labor was surprising very cheap.

I'll also be able to recover some of the cost when selling all the chrome parts taken off

Also I have a couple questions I just thought of.

Biggest question still lingering is in regard to wood grain. Online when viewing trucks with similar interior it comes with wood grain on center console and doors. I do not want this. I asked this at dealership and pointed out on the order sheet there's and LPO option called says synthesis silver interior trim kit, has the code VTG next the the check box.

Doing a Google search it pulled up the exact pieces I was wanting in non wood grain. The dealership said it shouldn't come with wood grain and that I DIDNT need to get the VTG extra option... For some reason I feel like it will arrive with wood grain since we didn't pick that option. I hope all this doesn't sound confusing lol. I can send a picture of the order sheet where this option is if needed

Didn't see an option to add puddle lights on the mirrors. Is it in one of the packages I ordered, or come on 2015s anyways? Also the steps on the rear bumper, I didn't see an option for that but im curious if it'll be there.

Puddle lamps are part of the standard LTZ mirror.

If your truck comes with the silver/chrome Z71 grill (You'll know what I'm talking about when you see it. The inside vertical bares are bright silver and the horizontal are chrome) I'd be very interested in it if you dont want it.

Yeah it's coming with the chrome/ bright silver verical grill, but they order the one with black also and are putting in on when it arrives. So yeah it'll be avail too

Interested to see how it comes out! I like the monochrome look myself, but ltz forces you into a lot of chrome. the mirror caps and handles seem to be easy fixes and ~300 bucks painted on ebay but everything else seems pretty pricey. Did your dealer consider swapping some of the stuff off a regular z71 lt? some dealers like to chrome up trucks...

Cool. Well just lemme know when you get ready to remove it from your inventory. I'll likely be interested!

I may be able to head your way to get it too. I dunno if I can day trip to Memphis but I know I can make it to Nashville pretty easily. I've done it before for parts.

Truck arrived Tuesday, May 12th, and I picked up yesterday after all parts were swapped! Love it so far. Ordered leveling kit, and going to get tired soon. Even the wife's first response was that i need tires on it asap! So it's always good having here encourage and blessing on spending money on it. Also got my tint guy coming by my station Wednesday to black it out, even front window.

First question I have, is there a way to not have the screen light up/ partially turn on when I open a door?

I'll post pictures of truck later, says they are too big to load.
