tony92231 Posted April 24, 2015 Posted April 24, 2015 This is Tony. I'm new to GM Trucks.com. I purchased my first truck two months ago, so I'm new to the truck scene. I have a 2015 Silverado 1500 Crew Cab 5.3 V8 2 wheel drive. I love it. I'm hooked on trucks now! I want to start customizing it. I've already installed a cold air intake that makes it sound pretty good. Next I want to install a new exhaust system on it. I want to install dual tail pipes when I have it done. I was told by a reputable truck mechanic that he could install them but would not recommend installing dual tale pipes my truck. He says that the driver side tail pipe sooner or later always has problems either the pipe cracks, and or falls off. I really like the look of the dual tail pipes. I'm still learning about customizing trucks. does anyone have any advise the can give me? I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks, Tony
SteveBBB Posted April 24, 2015 Posted April 24, 2015 Welcome to the group Tony, congrats on the new truck, you made a great choice!!
wurgs Posted April 25, 2015 Posted April 25, 2015 Welcome! Congrats on the new truck. I have had some kind of dual exhaust system on my last 4 trucks with no issues. If you get a quality stainless system and get it installed right you won't have any issues
