16x8 American Racing wheels with 285 BFG's

This might be too picky, but I am looking for someone that has a picture of their extended cab z71 un-lifted with 16x8 American Racing wheels, 285 BFG AT's, and their torsion bars cranked.  I am trying to get a feel for what this will look like before I decide to spend the money on the wheels.  Also, will the 16x8 wheels make the tires stick out a little bit?  Thanks.

I don't EXACTLY meet your criteria (I have a Suburban) but I have 16X 8 American Racing wheels and 285/75 BFG AT KO tires on them.  I need to add a closeup pic to this page, but check them out on My Webpage

:jester: Those look really good - I currently have the stock rims and tires on mine, and my wheels have the same finish as your stock wheels did.  I want something more shiny, and the American Racing Atlas are the exact wheels I am looking at.  I also wanted to see if they stuck out any with the wider wheel, but an 1 or 2 inches will look good.  Thanks.

I have been debating the last few months about a lift on my truck.  I want a little more aggressive stance than stock.  I can't decide whether to put on a 4'' rancho lift with 315/75 BFG's and 16x10 Atlas wheels or just get some 16x8 Atlas and keep my 285's.  The 285's look good now but I want some width out of them.  I don't know if I could keep my 285's on with 16x8 wheels.  Does anyone know if they would fit without rubbing?  I think the lift would look great but it is just not very practical(or cheap!) for a daily driver.  I see ALLGMV8's Suburban and they look good.  I want those wheels!  Tinkered with the Ford key idea but I would rather just get a lift instead.  So many choices I don't know what to do.  I think if I could fit the 16x8's and 285's without rubbing, that is what I would do.  What do you guys think?

I have the Atlas 16x8 with BFG ATs 285x75x16.  Everything works fine.  I might have misunderstood you, but if you have 285s now, changing the wheel will not change the height of the tire and cause it to rub (a 285 is a 285).  I have a 2wd with a 6 inch lift and the 285s look great.  I don't like having the entire wheel well filled, and the 285s leave just the right amount of space for my liking.  They do not stick out of the fenders on my truck.  They are just about flush with the fender.  The Atals wheels are nice too, but you might want to go to American Racing's website and order some of their polish.  The wheels dull very fast and the only polish I could find that brings back the shine was American Racing's. :jester:

If I get the 16x8's, they will be wider than the stock 16x7's and maybe have more offset, so I will need more clearance to fit them without rubbing.  I was trying to find out if I had enough room with the stock ride height?  I understand the tire height will be the same, it's the extra width I'm worried about...
