Installing window sill trim

I'm trying to install chrome window sill trim on my crew cab 2015 Silverado. I can't get the clips snapped in. Any tips? The molding is used but clips are not broke.

When I removed mine to paint them they snapped back in no problem. I did have to push down on them pretty hard to make them snap in. If you are replacing your non chrome trim you could try swapping the clips off of them onto the new trim, they might be slightly different but I doubt it.

I am having the same problem, any tricks you can share. Front went on easy, clips will not engage on rear pcs.

I responded in your other thread. The clips have small "lips" inside the center of them that are probably broken. You can see pictures and get the part number for new clips if you search these forums (I don't have the link handy).

I had the window seal replaced on warranty and they reused the chrome trim. It didn't stay on. They replaced it with new trim. the clips didn't look broken to me but the new trim stayed in place.

You have to look close to see it. There is supposed to be a small lip in the center of the main clip (kind of like a smaller second clip). When they break off you can hardly tell they are missing but the trim will not snap down into place without these extra lips. That's why your new trim stayed in place.
