Just wondering but this morning i noticed a hissing sound when turning the wheel to the left and right.

Just wondering if anyone else notices this?  Cant say i noticed it before.  It did get cold out the past few days (below 30 again  :nono: )

Its the spool valve in the rack hissing. As the fluid rushes past the valve it can make a hissing sound. Its typically worse when cold and is possible you just didn't note it before. Sometimes it can be louder than other times. If its not loud all the time, then I wouldn't worry about it.

I have a 4wd and it doesnt have rack and pinion steering it has recirculating ball.  My guess is the power steering pump

Also i noticed that once the truck warmed up the noise went away.  It probably wasnt happy that its been 50-70 and the past 2 days it dropped to 20-30  :nono:
