Yeah, I've got a German shepherd and I have to vacuum out the truck once a week, to just keep it manageable.

Decided to color match the front of my truck. Bought an aftermarket grill, and painted the chrome trim pieces on the lights.

I actually first tried to use duplicolor shadow chrome, and it looked great till I had them actually outside, and they had a purple tint to them, so I went to autozone and just bought duplicolor gm matching black. Three coats of that and two coats of clear.

Hey man I have been I am wiring my light bar and I am doing the exact same switch after I saw your write up...I would be done and I have been on this for 4 hours now. I can not get the DARN aux power outlet out to install the switch. HOW DID YOU GET THE AUX POWER OUTLET OUT???? I need to know asap if you see this for I am doing this now

There two little plastic tabs you can see on the inside of the aux port. You will need a small flat head or even a trim pick, to press them. Once both have been pressed out, you should be able to press/slide the aux port right out

Awesome looking ride! That LED bar mod behind the grille is a great execution, I'll have to rework mine at some point because my mounting is pretty shoddy - good to see how you mounted yours. Really dig the paint matched front end as well, great work!

I tried this yesterday & was unsuccessful, I'll try again later today in hopes of getting it done. It sounds super easy but mines not budging. I used two very small flat head screwdrivers on the tabs & no luck. Are the tabs supposed to be pressed so far in that u can't see them anymore or just to release the socket? Does the plastic square come off with the socket or the does cigarette socket come on its own and the trim piece stays attached? Just trying not to break anything. thanks

The square plastic trim stays in place. Once o had the tabs pressed in, it took a decent amount of pressure to push out the aux port. I had to press on the bottom and it slowly started to move then I was able to wiggle it out the rest of the way. I was very worried about cracking the plastic as well, but luckily was able to get it out. I would just try to twist it, once the tabs are pressed so you don't have to worry about them catching the aux port again.

So did you remove any trim pieces to achieve this? How were u able to push out the port by pressing the bottom? I understand what needs to be done I just don't know if I have to remove that big trim piece with the ports.
