I miss having a truck, GMC ?'s.

Gonna look at some today, I ruled out a '14 or '15.
Gonna try to get a '09-13 in the Sierra SLT's,
I've saw a lot with everything I want online, except when the time comes it has the 5.3.

Since, they're so hard to find. I might just get a Denali since they have the 6.2's in them.
Now, if I get a Denali with it being AWD can I still install a leveling kit or a small lift in the future?

You can lift or level a Denali. I would look for a SLT 6.2 because the mileage will be somewhat better with the parttime system.

Did you rule out that '12 with 79k?

Yeah I did for now, saw another one online that I wanted & they want like $26. Has over 95k on it though.

I still think the GMC's are the cleanest looking truck.
Especially in the 07-13 years.
C,C colormatch, debadge; just hard to beat on looks.

I want one, but the 6.2L is so hard to find. Don't want a Denali, though.

I have a 2011 SLT with everything except the backup camera. I really have no significant complaints about it except a few things they cheaped out on which I have fixed. Cabin filter, footwell lighting, under hood light, no seal between hood front and header panel over the radiator. Power is adequate if not towing regularly. Typical GM cruise control that doesn't hold setpoint worth a damn.

What all have you fixed?

Installed the cabin filter kit, an underhood light from a 98 S10, a seal between the hood and header panel to keep road splash and dirt off the engine. I have footwell lights but have not installed them yet and may not. Also I installed an actual cigar lighter socket in place of one of the 12 volt outlets. I do not smoke but wanted to be able to plug in devices that need the locking mechanism of a real lighter outlet.

I also installed a bed seal kit to keep dirt and dust out of the bed which is a problem with these trucks if you drive on dirt roads. It did not completely eliminate the dust but almost.

How did you install the cabin air filter? I'm interested on that one.

Also, if I don't get a 6.2L truck, I'm not gonna get a GM truck. I just don't want another 5.3.

I was looking to get a 2010-2013 Denali/SLT.

If it comes down to it, I might get a Tundra Limited Crew Max. Seems like the 5.7 is pretty powerful, while having a lot of room inside. Can't seem to find one without em asking too much or too many miles.

You need to realize that the new truck is not going to be just "another 5.3L"...it's a totally new, more powerful engine than past 5.3L's.

The new 5.3L engines are impressive, the power is very noticeable over previous engines IMO. The new ones I test drove felt almost like driving my 6.0L V-Max compared to my 2010 5.3L

If you want a new 6.2L, be prepared to pay for it. Seems like it is mostly found in the high trim levels (high country, denali). That's what it looks like on most dealer lots anyway.

Those Tundra 5.7L's seem strong, but that's about the only good thing about the Tundra. The engine and Bilstein 4600's, Toyota can keep the rest. If you do go that route, good luck, hope it works out for you.

I can't afford a 2014+ GM truck. Would I love to have one? Yes, absolutely. I like how the new Denali's are even with the 6.2s have the selectable transfer case.

That's why I'm looking between 2010-2013 in both of the trucks. I don't want a payment that high, just too crazy.

Did you find a 6.2 truck? Or go Toyota? I've heard good things about the tundra! Only downside on tundra for me is super short bed on CC and low mpg compared to GM trucks. The 5.7 in the Toyota runs strong from the factoy. Doesn't need a tune like GM trucks to wake it up.

Y'all might hate this. I got mostly everything paid off except my 4wheeler. Saving up to either get a newer Silverado or Tundra.

If I get a Silverado it be a 6.2L Crew Cab, 2014+.

If I get a Toyota Tundra it be a 08 Crew Max or newer. 4WD with the 5.7. Probably be easier to get a Tundra, Bc the 6.2L in Crew cab on the Silverados be hard to find or expensive.
