My truck has about 2" lift in the front from the King shocks and I just slide under it on a sheet of cardboard to change the oil. But I noticed my belly was getting closer. I think the springs are sagging...LOL.

I don't use ramps for oil changes but I did use my race ramps when doing my transfer case fluid change

I have a pair of 3" raceramps that I use on the front of the Corvette to get the low profile jack and crossbeam adapter under it. They came in handy on the truck to install the front sway bar. I plan to use them for oil changes to give me a little more room when crawling under.

My 2002 Silverado developed a front diff leak so I got used to sliding under it and checking the level a couple times a year and had plenty of room. The air dam on the 2014 + models makes that near impossible unless you are super skinny. I have had my truck for one year this week and have keep a spread sheet with my gas mileage. I am going to take the air dam off sometime this month and see how my mpg changes for the next 12 months. I am not on the interstate very much so I am hoping for a little to no difference in gas mileage but we will see what the number say!

That is good to hear! I am not overly concerned about fuel mileage but the less gas I buy is more money in my pocket. My biggest disappointment with my 2014 is that I am getting about 1.5 mpg better than I did with my 2002 model that had a 4.10 rear end, heavy AT tires, and alot more front end ground clearance. I am pretty sure that after I put at least a 1 inch level, remove air dam, and put on similiar tires as my old truck then I will be getting the same gas mileage for the kind of driving I do in hilly terrain. I would have thought that all of these new fancy enhancements (AFV, 6 speed, less ground clearance) that the newer truck would get better but I guess not. I think the mpg is probably much better on the interstate than my last truck but I am rarely on the super slab.

My truck is lowered and my airdam rubs alittle but not much and I have the Rhino Ramps.

What kind of gearing do you have? If you have 3.08 gears and you do a lot of city driving that would kill it cause those are more highway gears. Need to get 3.42 for around town use. Less stress on everything plus you can tow more

I have 3.42 gears and would have liked to have even lower gears. I have found over the years that if you drive in hilly/mountain terrain then you will get better mpg out of a low gear ratio (to a point). A 4.10 or 3.73 will get better gas mileage than a 3.08 in a 4 speed transmission in my neck of the woods. I am not sure how that relates to a 6 speed though

3.73 gears in a 4 speed is the equivalent of 3.42 in a six speed. The final drive (6th gear) RPM with the 3.42's would be slightly lower though

Try to use wood blocks or something about an inch tall by a foot long before the ramp (scale as necessary for your truck ). I do this to get our nissan versa up on metal ramps that world otherwise hit the bumper .
