Advice on a bumper replacement 2007 Sierra

Hey so this is my first post and actual sole reason for coming to this site, but since I have looked around I actually like all the news and random discussions. But anyway onto my question..

 

I have a 2007 GMC Sierra 1500. If I'm not mistaken 07 they made both body styles of the truck, regardless mine is the newer one. I had a buddy backing out of a parking spot one day catch my rear bumper and bent it up. It didn't hurt anything else and I have drove awhile since this just shopping around. But he wanted to handle it without insurance which was fine I knew he was good for it.

 

But I noticed today that there is an option for with or without back up sensors, which I do not have but I also noticed on more than one occasion that the one made for the sensors is cheaper. Will this affect the mounting of the actual bumper any or is it just a few small holes for the sensors and is just cheaper because it isnt such an indemand item???

It won't affect anything, but you will have an ugly hole. If the price difference isn't a lot, stick with the correct part. The aftermarket bumpers are of good fit and chrome quality.

The only difference between bumpers are the back-up sensor holes. It will look silly with a couple of holes in the rear bumper, stick with the correct part.
