Yea I wouldn’t waste good tires if they are that size, only reason I got rid of mine so early was because they were 255/70/17 and I’m not crazy about the alum 17s GM has on these trucks..if they were the Z71s or the double spoke 18s I would of kept them and just got bigger tires since I’m lifted.

Hey all, looking for some help here as I am relatively new to the aftermarket truck parts scene, I have a 2015 Sierra 1500 (4WD) w/o magneride, looking to have 4 inch BDS suspension lift installed, I know there will be a bit of underbody trimming and wheel well trimming required which I am not worried about, what I am worried about is if there will be a need for a longer driveshaft and if I will still be able to fit my stock 275/55/20 with a stock 27mm offset without hitting the UCAs

Thanks in advance

I keep hearing that stock 20” wheels will hit the stamped control arms on a knuckle lift. Mainly the zone 4.5/6.5. Has anyone really had this issue? All terrain 20” wheels.

Found this forum helpful, so posting my ride.

2017 GMC Sierra all terrain went with a 3 1/2 superlift, and 305/55/20 on the tires, 33.2 diameter 12.4 wide tire, Toyo RT’s, I don’t mind the hum of MT’s, but these tires are quiet!  I’m happy with the no noise.  I get a little rub on the inner front liner, but I’m pretty sure a zip tie will take care of it.  Other than that super happy with this lift and tire combo!  I really wanted to use the stock rims.  Ended up with 1” higher in back.  Hopefully this helps someone researching...

They’re 33x12.50r17. Pretty much the same height as the 285/70 but wider. I swapped the 33s for 315/70r17 and only rub the wheel liner

Previously you stated the 33's rubbed the UCA but the 315's only rub the inner wheel liner. Did you have to use a spacer to accomplish this? I have dug through 100's of pages looking for the setup I want and you have it! Awesome look! And how much front lift are you running and what tires? Thanks

I am glad there are still more rubber fans out there instead of skinny tire fans!  I love my 17" rims and more rubber!

Hey everyone,  I've tried digging around on this post and forum to see if I could find a solution to my problem, didn't see anything, please forgive if it's already been addressed.

Current set up

2014 Sierra double cab, 4x4 z71 all stock with the exception of the new tires I just threw on , 33 inch BFG all terrains.

Was looking to do, and pretty set on doing a 4inch BDS (non coilover option just to save a few bucks) and evidently you can't maintain factory oem 17s or 18s with the BDS 4inch suspension lift.

Having just purchased the brand new tires and they've got many more miles before needing replacement, how could I go about getting the 4in BDD suspension lift and not bump into trouble with the claimed fitment issues from BDS with keeping the current set up of 18s and 33inch all terrains. Thanks in advance, just looking to see if I can avoid an additional and hopefully unnecessary purchase of getting some 20inch wheels with some all terrains that would fit them. Anyone who's got some experience with this please chime in. Current set up picture I'll post too.
