Just wondering when you guys are changing your coolant.  My truck is at 34K miles (3 yrs old now).

I'm at 29k now and will change it out at 50k. I know it is 5 years or 150k coolant but for what it cost and how easy it is to do I figure why not. :thumb:

I was thinking about 50k as well or near that.  She's going to be 4 at the end of July and near 50k then, so I'm leaning towards sometime before the fall.

I'm not sure about the mileage but if your truck has the crappy heater hose fitting mine had it will bust at 70 to 80 K and then you will have to change the coolant. The best advice I can give is to change the fitting asap then change the coolant.

My truck has almost 48K, I'm planning on doing it at 50K. I know this Dexcool is suppose to last 100K+ but keeping clean fresh fluids in an engine to me is good preventative maintenance and it's cheap insurance.

Could be worse, the repair shop could forget to clamp the upper radiator hose down when you get your truck back on december 23 then on christmas eve at 8pm you go out and the hose blows off.  Luckily I was within a mile of Target and was able to get some coolant, but that was a cold walk there and back.  The service guy was very apolagetic, however his boss tried to screw me out of the money I paid for the coolant.  They kept trying to give me free oil changes.  I swear, dealerships must buy everything with free oil changes.  In the end they paid for the coolant, but for a mistake they made I thought they shouldn't have jerked me around like that.
