Michelin defenders

Does anybody on here have these tires yet? Went to Costco to try and get a set of ms2's but they were out of the 17's I needed for my 15 Sierra. They cannot order the ms2's because of the changeover to the ltx defender. They do have a set of the new defenders 255/65/17 in stock but I am kind of hesitant trying anything new and untested. Might end up going with bfg all terrain ko instead. Anyways just checking to see if anybody's riding these yet, they are pretty new so maybe not. Thxs for any replies

I have had a set on a Toyota Avalon and they were great tires. I just looked up when I ordered them and it was 5-30-13 from tirerack. We just sold the Avalon about 2 weeks ago to make room for the new Silverado in the driveway.

To answer some questions...they are very quiet tires, excellent wet weather tire (live in Florida with the daily thunderstorms all summer), after 25000 miles they still had at least 3/4 tread left on the front (avalon wasn't the car to do burnouts..lol).

With all that said, once the Goodyears are shot on the Silvy, she will be getting Michelins.

Disclosure: I have been a big fan of BFGoodrich, dont like Goodyear or General, and that was my first set of Michelins.

See discount tire if in your area. Have shopped both and Discount carries a better level of inventory at a better price. Skip the road hazard. I would run only LTX.

I wish we had a discount tire here in Anchorage Alaska, Costco guy said these were brand new tire, with the old ms2 tread but with some diff compound in the tire. Supposedly better tire. Ms2 is being phased out apparently. I would sure think they would still be a great tire.

Wrong defenders. The Defender LTX M/S is brand new. Tirerack has some stock.

The Defender LTX M/S for our Acadia, 255/60-19 will not be available until Nov 1 according to Tire Rack. It is a brand new beast in that size and I can't wait to get it for our Acadia. Seems we go through tires like crazy on it and I'm hoping we get the same mileage and ride comfort with them on it as I do with the LTX M/S2's on my 02 Silverado.

I guess another reason why I was kind of hesitant was they only had one size which is a 255/65/70 a little smaller than what I have now. Was hoping for a least original size or a bit bigger. Weather here will be getting crappy soon, and the mad tire rush will be in full swing. Prob need to pull the trigger on something here soon. Thxs for the links on the tires.

I'd not go with the smaller size I have the smaller 17" tire on my sierra and it looks goofy.

Imcrazy Thxs for the feedback, that's what I was worried about I'll prob wait a bit and see if I can pick the size I need, prob right when everybody else is wanting new tires as well lol.
