If you have homelink (or maybe even if you don't) you might want to consider a remote harness like this:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/KAWELL-1-Leg-Plug-Play-Remote-Control-Wiring-Harness-Switch-Flashing-Mode-300W-/181687741568?hash=item2a4d6eec80

Eliminates having to run wiring to the interior and finding a spot for a new switch.

+1 I did this and it was really easy to wire. One thing i found out is that the dual harness has both legs come on at the same time. You can't have the sides operate independently of each other

I ran it through the nipple on the main rubber grommit that the majority of the wiring is going from the engine bay to the cab. Just had to get a utility knife and cut a slit in it and ran a hanger through. Taped the wires to the hanger and pulled them through.

Kerrslight, I think I know, but can you confirm where exactly the "main rubber grommet" is on these 1500 5.3 (2015) trucks?

I have multiple opinions and am hesitant to just start shoving coat hangers thru and risk damage.

Thanks!!

Dave

This is where I put my main two switches.

Where did you get the bezel for those switches?

Here's mine. Only three switches, but enough for me. Current running a light bar with two blanks for future expansion.

Yes, a light bar in a '17 with active shutters! There's about 65mm of clearance. You can't go too wide, unless it's curved. I did a 16" triple row, straight non-curved bar.
