Hey, I am new to the forums! I just got a 09 silverado 4x4 and its all stock. Im looking to put a zone 6.5" lift kit on it. Has anyone had these or had any problems? From what ive read they are good for the money. Also, I want nitto trail grapplers and rockstar 20s. If I got that lift and got rockstar 20 wheels, and nitto trail grapplers (35s), would there be any rubbing and if some would it be minor and be an un noticable trim? And what exact size do I want of 35s? Dont want them to be sticking out any. Thanks so much any thoughts or answers greatly appreciated! Suggestions for other options also! Thanks!

I had a 13 Silverado with the zone off-road 6.5" lift I didn't have any problems loved the lift and the ride. I had 35" mud grapplers and didn't have any problems with rubbing as far as the sticking out that depends on the offset of your rims, the more you go to the negative the further it sticks out. I ran XD revolvers 20x9 with +18 offset which is close to factory look. I have some picks just go to my build page.

I am not installing this myself, and I am still quite confused about offset. I want rockstars. This offset stuff do I need to take it into concern or will the people installing it do all of that? Thanks! And what exact tire size do I get? It is trail grapplers or terra grapplers im looking into.

You are paying for the new wheels so you should tell the people doing the job exactly what you want. Don't rely on anybody to try and get you the look you want, only you can do that. You won't be happy if they get it wrong so let the shop know what you expect.

You are going to want to tell them the look you are going for with the wheels & tires. You can have them tucked under the fenders as far as possible, or you can have them sticking out a couple of inches. With the wheels under the truck as far as possible is the look I always go for when lifting a truck/suv.

If you want them to stick out for a wider stance they may have to have some trimming done so they don't contact the fenders while turning and when the suspension is compressed. It is also harder on the front driveline the farther they stick out. I'm sure the shop is familiar with what they are doing and should be able to tell you what different wheel backspacing will look like on your truck......

Seems like you really have no idea what you really want, it's like you just want a lift to have a lift and are asking others to choose your wheels and tires, bad idea!Don't order anything until you do some looking around at different tires to find the look YOU want, same goes for the wheels. Search google for Silverado with the lift you want, you should be able to see hundreds of looks, find the one you are looking for. Most of the pictures are connected to links and most of them have their full specs posted on forums.

When it comes to "what you are looking for" with the tires, only YOU know that so you should figure that out BEFORE buying the wrong tires.......Get what YOU want, it's your truck and your hard earned money paying for the wheels and tires. Search around the web, you'll find exactly what you are looking for......pics when it's finished!
